Internal Notebook Harddrive? - notebook internal harddrive
To see which works like my old portable hard drive no longer, I asked myself,
1) Can I drive, then run the recovery CD that came with my laptop install for an operating system?
2) If not, I buy a Windows Vista?
3) And if I have a Windows Vista computer, I get the expensive surgery? (full package, not Upgarded Version)
4) Which portable hard drive is better? I know SATA and ATA and other things and I am confused?
5) My laptop has Intel Extreme Graphics () something and then run Windows Vista properly integrated? The store I just had to Ultimate Edition (I think that is called, is black)
Sorry for all the questions. = [

1. They speak of a new hard drive? Yes, you can and can not install the recovery CD that came with the laptop.
2. They say it is a laptop "old", so you probably will not install Windows Vista. Visit to run Microsoft's web site for minimum requirements on Windows Vista.
3. There are three versions of Vista: Basic, Prime Minister (or luxury), and Ultimate. Microsoft says there are functions that are in the Prime Minister help for laptops. Premier Plus Microsoft Media Center if you have a job for him. Looking at the questions you ask me, the final purchase would be a waste of money.
4. Visit the website of the manufacturer of your laptop and check the specifications. It supports only one type of disk. Buy the biggest you can afford.
5. Intel and Microsoft are close together, so you can bet that all Intel machines are compatible with Vista.
Remember, you can reinstall the operating system origin. Hope this helps.

Oops, I misunderstood the question 3rd The answer is: tHat, if you have not installed, Windows on the hard drive, hard drive upgrade will not work. You must buy the full version when you install onto a blank CD. There are several ways around this in XP, but I wonder if Microsoft did that with Vista.
1 -> Most of the time. Some records need to partition recovery disk and reformat, first ensure that you will be able to do so. If you are booting from recovery discs that you would be good if you do not want to buy an external USB enclosure to the first
2 -> If you doensn't boot from the CD / DVD from the laptop, and option 1 to work, you must purchase a copy of Windows.
3 -> do not know, but it is a very good question. When they do not usually get the Windows CD if you have a laptop that does not know if it works buy the update. I have to call Microsoft is the only way to know whether the fix works. I really do this answer
4 -> Whatever your laptop is now, what you should get. ATA and SATA is the way the drive is connected to the computer. Normally, a laptop, one of the compounds, but not both.
5 -> You'll Be Fine
1. Of course you can
2. No, not using Vista on an old PC
3. You already have a version of Windows, this would be an upgrade. But no.
4. Most laptops and ATA especially older models with the ATA, also known as parallel /. Hitachi (IBM), Fujitsu, Toshiba are the typical brand. I had the best experience with Hitachi
5. No Vista for your laptop, you grow old. Too many incompatibilities and hardware requirements for them and will only be disappointed, because not executed.
Just get Vista if it comes with a brand of Vista ready, the new PC. This is the only way to ensure that everything is working properly. It is not like Windows XP, where almost all work with him.
Here are the first reality - Vista requires a DVD drive and 512 MB of RAM is enough to install. At least 1 GB suggested.
